Weekly Fun Fly
Sunday Morning -
Winter Fly - September to May - Fly at 10am
Tom Doe Park at the end of Henderson St. in Atlantic Beach. This is just East of the Sands Villa Resort.
Summer Fly - June, July, August - at 9am
Fort Macon, meet west of the parking area on the beach, near the jetty. As the summer weather heats up, please bring water and appropriate sun protection.

Carolina Kite Fest XXXVII
The 2024 Carolina Kite Fest will be held Oct. 26-27, at the beautiful Ft. Macon State Park. The Park offers large flying fields, ample parking, rest rooms, and the opportunity to visit the best state park in North Carolina. Bring your kites to fly, and take time to meet other flyers for two days of pure kite fun. WEe expect flying to be best between 10 and 4 both days. This is a free event sponsored by Kites Unlimited in the Atlantic Station Shopping Center.
As with all Kite events, local weather will be taken into account. .
Carolina Spring Kite Gathering
A gathering of Kite Flyers is traditionally held one of the last weekends of Beach driving. Details will be posted here and on the Kites Unlimited Facebook page as they are developed for the 2025 edition of this event.
